Passionate about Global Health? Apply to be on the Think Global Team
Think Global is an International Federation of Medical Students' Associations (IFMSA) initiative project. It aims to educate medical students on global health issues and empower them to set up global health education projects in their countries.
The Think Global team is currently expanding. We are looking for people to fill the following positions:
- European Regional assistant
- Database coordinator
- Survey coordinator
- Web coordinator

Regional Assistant
Tasks:
- To keep an overview of global health (related) activities in your region.
- To support initiation of global health activities in your region.
- To empower NMO's to establish international collaborations for organizing global health related projects.
- To motivate NMO´s to appoint National global health officers or contact persons.
- To encourage global health to be incorporated in the regional meetings.
- To empower national contacts to act as advocates for global health education to the key individuals and organisations within their country, through training events, and through networking with others.
- To identify and map out IFMSA members interested in global health as a recruitment pool for Think Global team members and involve them in specific activities of the Think Global project.
Database coordinator
Objective of the database: Have an online database containing local/national global health activities with contact details of the persons running these projects and materials used, can provide exchange of ideas, experiences, skills and information. And to obtain an overview of all global health related activities.
Tasks:
- To motivate IFMSA members to add the information of their projects in the database
- To aid IFMSA members who have difficulty using the database
Survey coordinator
Objective of the survey: At the moment we don't have an overview on the form of global health education is given in each country. What we also don't have is a good overview of the student opinion on global health and global health education at their respective universities. The Global Health Survey is to gain more insight in these matters. The results of this survey are the starting point for further advocacy for more global health in medical curricula and planning of the project
Task:
- To coordinate the conduction of a survey on medical students' perceptions on global health education
Web coordinator
Tasks:
- To keep www.ifmsa.org/projects/thinkglobal updated, to use as an important information tool for all medical students interested in learning more about global health education
- Include databases on global health contacts, resources and students' opinions on global health at the website
- For the majority of IFMSA students to have easy and affordable access to appropriate materials to learn about global health issues, by launching a database on learning materials at the website
- To encourage NMO's to organize global health related projects, by providing the necessary knowledge, skills and resources.
