Branch Logos

To download your branch logo or any other branch's logo, right click on the link and choose "save target as" or "save link as".

But which one do I choose? What does PNG/EPS mean?

PNG is a fixed size image, which is ideal if you don't want to resize it. When you resize PNG images you lose quality, so they are best suited to use on websites and small sized publications. Like JPEGs and other fixed size images, they pixelate when they are enlarged too much.

EPS is a vector image format which means it can be resized to any size at all and will still look perfect with no loss of quality. This is the format you want for large size printing, banners, clothing and for printing onto promotional material. EPS can be reformatted to high quality JPEGs or other more accessible file formats.

So how do I use the logo?

The logo looks best when it's put in the bottom-left, or on the left of a document with a line beneath it. This is because the logo is 'weighted' to the bottom-left due to the nature of its design.

It's also best to have the logo on a white background. If you want to a picture on the 'behind' the logo, it would be best to 'grey out' the picture, so it looks faded. How you do this depends on the graphics programme that you use.

To use on a dark background, the logo is turned to white, to help it become more visible. This page will be updated soon with white versions of all of the logos.

If you need help with using the logo or anything else related to graphics, please email the Publicity Director at publicity@medsin.org
