Sexpression
Sexpression educates young people in sex and relationship issues and aims to empower them to make informed choices about their reproductive health. Healthcare students deliver interactive and informal sessions to small groups, creating a relaxed environment to learn about sexual health and broach sensitive topics.

Mission statement:
Sexpression is an independent student initiative, not affiliated to any religious or political cause. We believe in:
- Creating opportunities to discuss sexual matters in an open, non-judgmental environment
- Promoting individual self-esteem and empowerment
- Encouraging respect for personal beliefs and values
- Facilitating informed decision-making and autonomy regarding sex
- Ensuring that young people have the skills to access sources of confidential advice
The organization consists of projects based in many universities around the UK, designed with their local communities in mind. They are non-profit making organizations and are run on an entirely voluntary basis.

National Conference 2011:
We're going 'Back to School' with Peninsula Sexpression this November as they host our National Conference in Plymouth on the 12th and 13th of the month.
The conference will be held on the 12th & 13th November 2011 at the Roland Levinsky Building on the University of Plymouth campus. We are looking forward to welcoming delegates from Sexpression branches across the UK and welcoming back our international partners. In response to feedback from previous conferences we are staying true to whats important to Sexpression with a 'Back to School' theme.
We have been scouring the country for leading experts in the field and are pleased to have confirmed speakers such as Dr Nicki Saulsbury, Professor John Guillebaud, Professor Adrian Thatcher and Dr Tracey Collett talking on a host of different topics such as sexual health, sex and religion, body image, and domestic violence, with many more speakers and topics still to be confirmed.
For more information please visit the National Conference website for more information about what to look forward to and how to register!
Website:
The site is now up and running and we have an updated bank of resources with more from NECSE to come! To gain access to these resources the branch will need to provide proof of child protection training for new members and then will be granted access for that year. Please contact the co-ordinator Dave to prove your CP training status and Imogen for a username and password.
