Projects
There are 10 nationally recognised Medsin projects which run in local branches to address a wide range of health issues by:
- working with children to equip them with life skills and awareness of health issues
- working with a neglected section of the population to increase their access to healthcare
- working with the national bone marrow register to recruit donors
- allowing medical students the chance to study in a different country
- working with medical students and their faculties to increase the knowledge of global health inequalities across the medical community
'Affiliate status' is a new level of project recognition within the Medsin network. This category has been created so that smaller, local projects can use the network to their benefit, whilst recognising that they are not nationally representative as yet.
