Dear All
Please find below an invitation to apply to attend the UNHCR annual consultations in Geneva.
If you would like to apply, it will help your application if you have been involved in the Standing Committee for Human Rights and Peace (SCORP) or the wider IFMSA before. They are also looking for applications from students with an interest in human rights issues.

Dear all !
UNHCR have invited us (IFMSA/SCORP) to their annual NGO consultations. The annual consultations are a meeting for all NGOs that work with refugee health and some of the ones that work with Human Rights. It is the most important meeting for us as LO´s because it´s an oppurtunity to find new external contacts for IFMSA/SCORP and promote our organization. Last year 160 organizations attended, amongst them Oxfam, Doctors without Borders, Amnesty int. human rights watch, Red Cross, Save the Children etc.
We are allowed to send three people, Johanna and I will most likely participate both of us but that means that we still have one spot left.
The meeting itself is free but you will have to fundraise for your own plane ticket to Geneva and also pay for food and local transport.
If you are interested in participating in the UNHCR annual consultations in Geneva from the 25-27th of june then please send a one page CV and a one page motivation letter to me jessica.ehne@gmail.com and Jo johanna.norenhag@gmail.com before friday the 2nd of May.
The selection criteria will be:
- That you will be active in SCORP/IFMSA the next year (tell us what your plans are)
- That you have some knowledge about SCORP/IFMSA in general (tell us what you´ve done before)
- Language french/spanish/arabic/English
- What is your motivation to go?
