Nominations for this position have reopened due to no candidate being elected at the SGA. The position will be selected as follows: An e vote amongst voting members, and the successful candidate will then be appointed by the national committee, to be approved at the AGA.
If selected you will need to present a candidature form, signed by your branch president to the AGA, otherwise your election will be invalid.
Job description:
- Organise a TNT/TOT in whatever format suits the network best
- Organise training at the national events
- Organise training at the regional events
- Answer requests from local groups/activities wanting specific training – if there’s a trainer nearby then cc them in, or go myself, or provide training material for them
- Help trainers plan their sessions
- Be involved in the discussions on [ifmsa-training] to increase your, and the UK trainers knowledge of both training opportunities and skills.
- Offer the training services to conference teams, both to ensure their competence in organising the events, and to ensure that there is good quality training at the conferences and GAs – current plans etc.
- Take part in national committee discussions, and if a problem arises that could be solved by training then jump to it!
- Do lots and lots and lots of training!
We would strongly recommend running for this position if you are a TNT or TOT trained trainer as much of the job involves recognising training needs within the network, and so experience of training is vital.
