Visions for a Better Politics
It’s election time. This is the single moment when citizens have the most power to act and make calls on their elected representatives - Medsin is likely to be coming together with a broad cross section of society to hold a Hustings in late April.
Whether concerned with Human Rights, penal reform, multiculturalism or the prevention of AIDS/HIV the shape and distribution of political power affects us all. So we want you there, in London just days away from the general election at our Hustings – put it in your diaries for the week of April 25th now!
But that’s also why today we want to tell you about our chance to come together with thousands of people across the country to have our say on how democracy should work. The structures of our democracy influence our ability to act for better public health policy. So have your say on politics by clicking below:

POWER2010 is a grassroots initiative designed to redistribute power from Westminster into the hands of all of us. In the coming general election, they'll be asking all Parliamentary candidates to sign the POWER2010 pledge, a promise of reform to which they will be held accountable after they enter office.
The contents of that pledge are up to us. This is a chance to build a politics more sensitive to issues of public health and more ready to face the international challenges ahead of us. Be a part of this change today by voting:

Please make sure that you circulate word of the event and this opportunity to your own lists as soon as possible, we only have until midnight on the 22nd to cast our votes and help build a better politics for everyone and tickets for the Hustings will go fast.
Real power lies with the grassroots. Have your say and be represented.
