What went on at the World Health Assembly? WHO Watch reports
Last month was the World Health Assembly, a meeting of all WHO member states to decide WHO policy and set its course for the coming year. WHO Watch have compiled a report detailing what went on, from their refreshing people-first perspective. You can read it here (its quite big!)
The People’s Health Movement organize WHO Watch, a project to democratize global health by making the wider world aware of what goes on at the WHO. Some of the WHO meetings are huge, with powerful countries deciding how to improve health in less powerful countries. WHO Watch aim to keep people informed about the debates and decisions made at the WHO, from an independent, grass-roots perspective.
