UCL Institute for Global Health

The UCL Institute for Global Health is developing an institution-wide agenda leading to strategies, programmes, research and teaching to bring combined expertise to bear on the Grand Challenge of Global Health.

Centre for International Health and Development, UCL

The BSc in International Health formly at IHMEC,is now run from the Centre for International Health and Development (CIHD). This is a year-long course for intercalating medical students. The BSc was the first of its kind in Europe, teaching students from within UCL and also from medical schools across the UK and Europe.

Overall, the course is designed to give students a thorough understanding of the principles of health, globalisation, human rights, economic, social and political development and the arguments surrounding their interactions.

Medsin has a good relationship with the CIHD and it's lecturers. In addition, John Yudkin, the founder of the course, is a Medsin patron.

London School of Hygiene and Tropical Medicine

The London School of Hygiene & Tropical Medicine is an internationally recognised postgraduate centre of excellence in public health, international health and tropical medicine.

University of Edinburgh

The University of Edinburgh offers an intercalated BMedSci degree in International Public Health Policy. The intercalated degree offers a range of teaching on topics such as determinants of global health, health systems, international health policy, and globalisation.
