MARCH 7th MEDSIN UCL CLIMATE CHANGE AND GLOBAL HEALTH CONFERENCE: REGISTRATION NOW OPEN
Did you know that climate change will cause a global health catastrophe?
On Saturday March 7th.Medsin UCL is hosting the London Regional Conference with our theme of ‘Healthy People, Healthy Planet’.
With a full day of plenaries, workshops and high-profile speakers, this conference will explain everything you wanted to know about climate change and global health. Confirmed speakers include: Anthony Costello, Director of the Institute for Global Health; Ian Roberts, Professor of Public Health, London School of Hygiene and Tropical Medicine; and David Pencheon, Director of the NHS Sustainability Development Unit.
The second part of the day is entirely dedicated to advocacy. You will see what the role of the health profession, doctors and medical students is in tackling climate change. You will see just how much opportunity there is for action and we will equip you with all the knowledge and skills you will need to be an active and engaging climate change advocate.
The day will be focused on our delegates. We want YOU to get as much out of the day as possible. We will be meeting and chatting to each of you individually to see what you can do and where you can go with climate change – whether in advocacy or elsewhere.
Places are FREE but very limited so make sure you register ASAP by emailing medsin.ucl@gmail.com with your name, course, year of study, phone number (so we can confirm your attendance nearer the date) and a bit about yourself. Accommodation will be provided for anyone outside London.
