Conferences

Medsin holds two national conferences per year. The first, the National Conference, is held in October. The second, the Global Health Conference, is held in March. There are also regional conferences, usually held around Februrary/March.

Conferences are a great way to meet like-minded people, hear internationally renowned speakers and get inspired to take Medsin action at a local level. Training is also offered on a variety of subjects which will help to improve the network.

Medsin also holds two general assemblies per year. The Spring General Assembly is usually held sometime in April, and the Autumn General Assembly, in October.

General Assemblies are an opportunity to shape the direction of Medsin, vote on changes to the way the organisation works, vote in new projects and campaigns, and in the spring, to elect a new national committee. They also provide a great opportunity for networking with other members and training is provided on a variety of topics.

If your branch are thinking of running to host a conference, you may what to look at this friendly advice from Medsin Leeds who ran the national conference in 2005.
