Manchester

Manchester is one of the most active Medsin branches in the UK, with hundreds of members involved in loads of activities. Medsin Manchester has been going from strength to strength recently holding a hugely successful Global Health Conference www.ghc09.org on the topic of 'healthy interventions'.

We aim to promote health education, organising speaker events particularly to highlight health inequalities. We campaign about global and local health issues, with current emphasis on Stop AIDS, MedAid and neglected diseases. Furthermore we provide support to student-run health-related projects as well as help those students who wish to set up new projects or events. If you have ideas about possible projects, campaign issues or just want to be involved with already running organisations, medsin manchester is the society for you!

The current Medsin-Manchester president is Mary-Anne Taube. Get in touch with Medsin-Manchester here.
