King's College London

Check out the Medsin-KCL website for information about this branch.

The current president is Sonia Abid, get in touch with the committee here.

We currently run 4 traditional Medsin projects:

Global Health Education Project

HOMED

Malaria and Neglected Diseases Campaign

UAEM

We also run Médecins du Monde’s Project:London. We work with Médecins du Monde’s advocacy project Project:London to provide information, advice and practical assistance to vulnerable people to help them access NHS and other services.

Parallel to this, we also run KCL Detainee Support Group. We work alongside SOAS Detainee Support Group and Medical Justice to provide support to asylum seekers and other vulnerable migrants detained in Yarl’s Wood Immigration Removal Centre. Volunteers act as both befrienders or case-coordinators to support detainees, to reduce their isolation and to empower them. Volunteers also lobby and campaign for improvements in immigration policy and treatment of vulnerable migrants.

We are also affiliated with Project Zimbabwe.

Other Projects at Kings':

Marrow, CPRiS, Sexpression, Teddy Bear Hospital, StopAIDS and People and Planet.
