National Coordinators : Dan Knights and Felicity Jones

Hello! We are Felicity and Dan, and we are the joint National Coordinators of Medsin-UK. It's our job to support and facilitate the network as we grow and develop into true a force to be reckoned within the world of global health!
Our role has two main parts to it: we are responsible for coordinating and chairing the National Committee and facilitating the developent of short- and long-term strategies for the network internally; and it's also our job to represent Medsin-UK to our many external partners (both nationally and internationally), acting as the official spokesperson.
As national coordinators, we are also trustees of the Charity Medsin-UK, and along with our fantastic Board of Trustees [Link to BoT page?] we oversee the specific responsibilities and obligations of the charity.
We are here to support any activity or work within the network, and are really happy to be contacted about anything within Medsin, to discuss our relationships with externals, or to advise about the charity status of Medsin. Feel free to contact us on nationalcoordinator@medsin.org at any time!

Training Director - Sara Naraghi

Hi my name is Sara and I'm this years National Training Director! I'm really excited about Training and getting Medsiners across the UK excited about it too!
This year I plan to focus on several areas. I want to find out what skills and individuals and branches need for this academic year in particular, and to get as many training sessions focusing on these areas run throughout the year. Key to this is establishing Regional Trainer roles and establishing a Training network. I will be working alongside the different Medsin Activities, the Advocacy Director and Education Director to provide a full training programme and share skills throughout the network. Lastly, with the Education Director I'll be working on getting Training accredited - giving Medsiners certificates or e-portfolio points for all their attended training sessions!
Still not sure what training is about? Looking for training in areas such as time management? Want help for your branch budgeting? Want to be a Regional Trainer? Do get in touch with me at training@medsin.org.
National Exchange Officers - Ben Warner and Leon Cohen

We are Ben and Leon, together we'll be helping coordinate bilateral exchanges between medical students from the UK and other member countries of the IFMSA. These are opportunities to undertake a clinical placement abroad, with the aim of incorporating a global health element to this experience. As exchanges are bilateral, we would love to see this model of reciprocity extended to electives - as such, we are working closely with Mike on the Ethical Electives aspect of Medsin's work in Global Health Education.
If Exchanges are already happening at your university, there should be a Local Exchange Officer who you can contact to find out the local arrangements - but feel free to drop us an email if you have any questions about how these work. If you're interested in setting up Exchanges, we'd love to hear from you!
